I remember living in Woodstock (ages ago) and having this crazy poster (that I bought from a thrift shop in the main road) of Jim from The Doors. And I just liked it and him and would stare at it for hours in the early hours of the morning while writing music. I wondered just when I would feel as free as that mad guy seemed! So all the songs I have written chronicle that journey from Woodstock to where I am now. The the album was literally recorded behind closed doors – either in my bedroom or study. There will be 15 tracks on the album in total.

The new album will be called Anima Sola, a soul in purgatory or a lonely soul, and deals with the unravelling of a relationship. It is intimate, introspective and very sincere. The stories are not all mine. I drew a lot of material from friends, family and other things I simply fabricated (or did I?…..)
